UN looks high-quality in person but their designs don't speak to me. For 10k I'd be thinking about a tangerine Senator chrono:

I’ll recommend GO. The Senator Chronograph is an amazing watch and 100m water resistant as well.

Here are my two GOs, I think they produce excellent watches at reasonable prices.

I managed to hit my local AD and try a few watches on last week and have narrowed my decision down a bit in terms of models. I was originally leaning towards the GO Seaq 39 but it is just too small looking on my wrist. I think it is because the dial is a pretty small diameter.

So here are the models I'm considering within each price point. Not sure if I want to stretch the budget for the higher end models and not sure I want a piece thats are chunky as the higher end ones are.

Lower end of budget:

Higher end of budget:

https://www.ulysse-nardin.com/usa_en/1533-150-3-e0.html

https://www.glashuette-original.com/...37-01-05-02-70

Don't need to buy on bracelet but usually do.

They’re all nice watches, but I’m in the camp unless you have a specific thing for UN or GO those two higher end of budget picks I’d rather get something different for that much Money

What would you take? I’m looking for something with white or blue dial and prefer it water resistant over 50m and available on a rubber strap.

If you are looking at the UN Chrono I'd be tempted with a used BNIB Regatta - amazing piece.

Is there a specific style you’re interested in? Reminds me of my posts where they’re all very different. Are you focused on these two brands? I like the seaq, the larger one is a bit chunky for my 6.8” wrist, still really like the 39.5 for the vintage look. I like UN stuff if you want to be a little different, I prefer the plain marina line to the quantieme for 14.4. Going up a little more I like the executive skeleton. Personally though there’s a lot of different choices once your budget gets there, I also like the moser pioneer, or an underrated watch is the GP laureato. I’m also boring and like 3 handers. I’ve always liked the black dial senator excellence with Arabic’s.

Originally interested in a marine inspired watch and just got a bit side tracked with the seaq after seeing pictures of it online. Mostly looking at the marine line up from UN and the senator lineup from GO. Figure they are both a bit higher on the horology scale than the typical brands and want a white dial with blue hands. Although the blue 43mm marine chronometer annul cal with grand feu dial is amazing

Out of those watches, Senator Excellence would be it for me. Again, I am a bit biased toward GO and "honest" watches, i.e., timepieces without gimmicks and strong desires to fit in a predictable category.

As of recent, GO is basically Lange that produces watches in steel. There are subtle differences in movement decorations--Lange wins by a high margin--but overall when I think GO, I think "it is a super nice dress watch." The SeaQ editions are nice but there is something off about them given where GO is going as a brand. I do not think the lineup will hold up the test of time and the competition.

UN is all over the place as a brand. I love their upper-tier lines, like the Freak or Classico, but the affordable models lack strong spirit. Lots of copy-cat designs. If I had to go with a UN, I'd save $ for the Freak X 43mm.
