Ambassadors of other watch brands wearing a Rolex

Not sure I agree. The timing of contracts and exclusions may not align to the snaps of these people wearing Rolex.

Great theme for a thread OP.

A couple of points that may clarify what appears to be a conflict of interest.

Firstly, none of the photos provide dates. Therefore, are we suggesting that if a famous person ever wore a Rolex and there happens to be a photo then he/she is betraying the ambassador role? Let’s say that for instance Daniel Craig signed to be the Omega ambassador in Jan 2020 for a 2 year contract. If there were photos before that date (or after) wearing another brands watch, I don’t see the relevance.

Secondly, these brands use cunning. If a particular influencer/star is “known” to wear brand X, another brand looking to bring itself to the stature of the competing brand will particularly seek to sign ambassadorship with that person. You know, consumer mindset, “oh look, Daniel Craig now likes Omega more than Rolex, so Omega must be as good as Rolex”

Finally, these influencers/stars have agents and business managers, these managers seek to increase the annual revenue in order to obtain a cut. Their clients image is “sold” to the highest bidder, not the brand that Star X would personally purchase privately. So all this ambassadorship promotion is pretty much for the shallow minded folks out there who don’t understand that the reason star X is on those photos is for $$$$$ ONLY and when that contract ends, so too will the fake preference for the given brand.
