IMHO I don't really care for watch ranking. I think a Tag is a great watch to get someone into the world of Swiss watches. They do make some very complex models. Are they Rolex, no but they aren't trying to be. Check out this one, 7.2 million BPH. WOW. To bad I think the power reserve is 4 minutes.

Tag Heuer was my entry into the luxury watch world back in 2000. I bought a Tag Heuer Kirium WL111G. I then bought a Tag Heuer Kirium Formula 1 Chronograph CL111A.
Since then I have also bought a Monaco WW2111 in 2008. However, the more I learn about watches, I feel like I am outgrowing the brand (I have 6.5in wrists so I am speaking figuratively, not literally). I am liking the bigger watches these days (like everyone else) so I have bought a Breitling Chronomat Evolution in 2005, a Panerai PAM320 and finally, a AP ROO. So, I have moved up into the next level of WISdom. There is nothing wrong with Tag but I think as one appreciates watches more and more, they do seem a little toy like. Having said that, I will never part with my Tags (due to the fact that I am a hoarder and also since their resale value is abyssmal).

Liked them better when all you saw was Heuer on the dial that's vintage. Here is one of my favorites in the collection.
Heuer Bund that was issued to the German Air Force during the 1970's.Got a cool flyback chronograph movement. |
