Looks to be about a 50/50 split, so buy the watch YOU like and enjoy.

Given your info, I'd go with the 114060. Clean open dial.
If it were my only watch I'd go with the 116610LN.

My vote would be for the no date. As someone posted above would you ever consider the 14060 instead of the 114060? That would be my choice if I was going to dive with it.

I would have never guessed that...

The 114060 would be more popular than the date (16-12 so far). While opinions can differ, the 116610 LN is sort of the archetypal "Rolex" with its date and cyclops. So would have thought the vote would have skewed the other direction prospectively.

I really need to decide among my sports watches what I want to add?

- Blancpain Leman Ultra Thin Grande Date (black dial)
- Chronoswiss Timemaster Automatic (DLC w/luminous dial)
- IWC Pilot Spitfire Chronograph (Ardois gray dial)
- Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 111 (black dial)
- Rolex Yacht-Master 116622 BL (blue dial)

I really can make arguments either way...I like both versions...

- The purety/clarity and diversity of the 114060
- The classic look and multi-purpose utility of a date function of a 116610 LN

So the BP has a large date and the Timemaster, Spitfire and Yacht-Master have dates. The Panerai of course, does not.

no date subC - if you are not wearing it that much, adjusting the date would be a constant hassle.

The SubC for me. The clasp is awesome.

Good luck!

I should put this in my signature so I don't have to keep posting it three times a week:

"If you own more than one Rolex, one of them should be a Sub no-date".

It is simple classic elegance.

Get the one you like most. As for my personal preference, I prefer the no-date over the dated sub. If you add to your collection, most of them will have the date complication simply because most Rolexes have it. The Sub is the only Rolex where you have a choice of a date or not, so it makes for a little variety. I'm not a cyclops fan, so I like the clean look of the no-date crystal.

Simple. Classic. You already have the Sub Date movement in your 116622. And you'd be wearing it diving ... who needs the date while underwater?

Also, I'm biased.

I guess I don't understand the need for either one. The Yacht Master is waterproof to 100 meters and I doubt you will ever be diving below 100 meters.

Neither one looks as good as your Yacht Master.

Just my opinion, but if you already have a set of black watches how about an LV or, if you must a hulk?

Adds some color to your collection, and still serves your original purpose.

If you don't want to go that route, I'd go with the ND sub, I think it is a cool look.

The date makes the watch, IMHO.

I'd say neither, go for a 16600 Sea Dweller, or in the new range the Sub C. If it is limited only to the original two I'd go 16610.

1) Despite never diving deeper than 40m I don't take the ratings literally. A dive watch needs >200m WR.

2) The YM bezel turns both directions instead of one direction like a dive watch. The YM bezel is also low contrast.

3) The bracelet clasp on the sub will adjust easier around a 3 mm wetsuit.

1. Rolex is known to understate their water proof ratings. A YM will have no problems at 40 meters.

2. I don't have a problem with the contrast.

3. The new bracelet expands or contracts a 1/2 link. This should be plenty of room to fit over a wet suit.
