I feel you all deserve a full report and a consultation payment (jk): Here it is... guy wanted $4500 before I posted pictures on TRF. I then told the guy my hesitations (from your help) and that I would have to open the case for verifications and thought my highest offer would be in the 3k range due to the apparent bracelet stretch, chipped crystal, and aftermarket day wheel. He said he was still willing to meet to sell. I met him and opened it up and found a genuine movement. Moreover, I took off the band and the model and serial number were legit. After closer examination noticed the dials roman numeral sticks were not perfectly aligned parallel and thought of it being refinished/unauthentic. I told him I couldn't go above $3100 and he felt it was a fair win win offer due to our findings. (I was thinking $3100 purchase + bracelet overhaul $1800 + Dial $500 + Day Wheel $100 + Crystal $200 + Service/Parts $500-$1000 =$6200-$6700) for a finished Day Date and serviced. I sent it in for service and they gave me a repair estimate or a $5300 offer as is and I quickly emailed back SOLD! 29% ROI and wasn't really trying.
