Fake rolexs
How can you know 4 sure that the Rolex u see online is real. There r thousands of Rolexs online 4 sale, how can u tell 4 sure that there real? I have seen some unbelievable fakes, even the mov't are the same colors, even the wheels. Has it come to a time now that u just can't trust anyone any more

i wouldn't trust anything online from places like ebay. You can get scammed big time. Usually, the pictures are stolen and not even the actual watch you will receive.
buy from trusted members here such as TEMPOKING, or from an Authorized dealer. |

The only way not to buy a fake is to go to a ROLEX authorized dealer!
Then you know for sure you have the real thing!

When you see something on line for sale you have NO clue if its real or fake.
I would imagine a photo of a genuine watch would be posted,, why not? My question has always been to seller on ebay,, how do I know the watch in the picture is the watch I am getting?? so beware of pictures big time. I am sure a scammer would use great pristine pictues of real authentic rolexes.. Why put a pic of a fake one up. so dont get too involved in analyzing the picture ever. d |

It is scary because i've heard you can buy great fakes for a few hundred dollars where the movement looks authentic and sell them for thousands. I wondered sometimes that if you take a watch to get authenticated by an AD, when they open it up can they really tell if its real; i'm assuming they just take superficial looks of the movement. So in the end the best way is to send it in for service and have RSC take apart every piece. And lets say you do find out its a fake and try to send it back...what if the seller says "i sent you a real one and the one YOU are trying to send back for a refund is a fake"

try to stay away from online buys. Go to an AD that carry some previously owned. i Would never buy from from an online unless i can fisically go to their store and see, feel and try the watch. those are my 2 cents.

I'd look for papers, reputable dealers/person, and examine the watch for classic fake tells - wrong date magnification, crown guards too fat, wrong font, ROLEXROLEXROLEX not properly lined up with minute markers (the "x" should land on every multiple of 5), crown too big

david i think "I no 4 sure cuz i buy from trusted sorse need 2 B careful in tha 2K08 br0" roughly translates to...
i am of the firm belief to only buy from a reliable source as an authorised dealers, as one can not be too careful these days. lol

So what do you drive while wearing your overpriced fake? I don't understand who you were making fun of, yourself or someone who drives an M3 who wears a real Rolex.

I'm sure those same real Rolex wearing "suckers" driving the 2nd hand BMW M3's get a kick out of the "posers" wearing Folex's at the bus stop as they drive by....food for thought

Buying online is definitely risky. Best to go with trusted members of this forum. I recently purchased an SD on ebay, AFTER doing a ton of dilligence. The guy I bought it from has his own little store and over 1300 100% positive feedback selling almost all Rolex watches. You can buy from an honest ebayer, but its few and far between.

And,of course,I've forgot the wannabe college Ralph Lauren brand...that is perfect with a Rolex.... |
