Maybe..?
But, surly there will be some of us that prefere Blue to Red..
I wear a blue shirt,,,never red

If the red did come out at Basel 17 - :
I think they will both be very popular

I've said this before but I'll say it again here...

I think the BLNR is the 'watch of the moment' and like all things in life, that will change with the coming of something new and different in the GMT line up. It's inevitable, and with it demand will plateau and normalise.

Now IF a SS Coke comes out.....well, you just have to read all the forum posts here and elsewhere to see what the demand for that will be, and like everyone else I'll be demanding one too.

I think it would change the perceived or otherwise pecking order in the GMT line up and generate a new 'watch of the moment', which in itself counts for a high sale count.

The all black is more versatile.

The blue / black - while in short supply in the U.K. for example - is no Paul Newman Daytona.

Maybe so ... but LN is not as desirable as the BLNR ...
thus the incoming gap between LN and BLNR'S...
Plus... ???

The resale value speaks for itself .
As Rolexnub stated the LN even in past 5 digit
reference model didn't outweigh and outsell the
Bicolored bezel models ... I.E. Pepsi ... Coke
Thus the BLNR still outsells and outweighs the LN reference...
Let the flames begin ...
In short? The LN is a classic but the main stream
prefer some color some variance to their already price for talent...,

Different strokes for different folks.
I gave BLNR a try...3 times
Just didnt work for me. Too much going on.
Classic black LN with touch of green is so very good looking.

Regarding some 5 digit gmt references... Msny versions actually cost more than a blnr as well.

I'm not saying the LN isn't classic and good looking ..
just noticing it's not as popular as the bicolored bezel
GMT's!!! Be it BLNR , Coke or Pepsi!!!
Yes , some of the 5 digit BICOLORED bezel GMT's do
cost more than the BLNR ... That's exactly my point !
Most prefer a BICOLORED BEZEL GMT as opposed to a
Simple Solid Black LN GMT!!!
In SS... not PM .... that is ...
Except BLRO which is PM and has bicolor bezel ...

Well...I don't buy modern Rolex for resale value. I buy to wear.

The blue on the bezel makes the watch 80's enough to limit the appeal for me fashion wise.

I see far fewer of the LNs in the wild than say a SS Sub

Where is this confidence coming from regarding a SS coke at Basel 2017??! If anything I imagine a coke bezel gmt will be platinum or other precious metal

From folks who just don't know.

It's fun to speculate...so here's my theory.

The "classic" prior bezel color combos (Coke , Pepsi) come out in PM. Save for the original black, all new bi-color inserts will on SS will be brand new color combos - I.e. Blue/black.

I like the theory and if that holds true then the 16710's are set to keep skyrocketing in value.

I just hope you're wrong.

I'd like to be right. I have a 16710 as well.
