Excellent choice. What a great Christmas present. Well done!

Tears were shed and he couldn't have been happier. Father and son side by side on Christmas

Awesome story. Good for you to treat your dad.
Only seen my dad shed tears two times. Once when his second wife passed from cancer and once when I gave him a new 116610. One of the best feelings in my life.
Merry Christmas

Very nice thing for you to do. I should do this for my dad. That must have been a great feeling!

Same position, dads 70th in January and wanted to give him something that he could hand down to my nephew. Taste is always going to vary so bought a hulk and a black no date and will give him the choice, happy to add either to my collection so a win win

Advice - buying for Dad

I'd go with new since it's a gift. I just got my dad a BB36 and he loves it. Incidentally it's also for his 60th (and Christmas combined).

I would get him something that he can wear everyday...probably a Sub or GMT.
