Based on everything that I've read I think it is time I start considering PM. I really want to stay in the Rolex Family as the only AP that sings to me is the Royal Oak Chrono in yellow gold. From Patek the 5990 (Both grossly out of my budget)

At this very moment my max budget for any watch is around $15K so I am quite limited in terms of what PM pieces I can even begin to look at.

I think this may end up becoming the beginning of "The Chase"

116618LB and 228235 immediately come to mind but a two tone such as the 116613LB isn't out of the picture.

I think it is time to sit back for a while and get the numbers in place.

You guys gave me plenty of ideas and perhaps the "color" I desperately crave is in the metal.

I did the same and went from the 114060 to the 116610LN lol. Same reason as you, plus I really couldn't live without the date (although I thought I could.)

You could definitely get a great 118238 for that price. It looks just like the new ones, such a gorgeous piece. Good luck, I can't wait to see what you choose.

Perhaps already mentioned but did you wear the 114060 only on the rubber? The oyster is the way to go. Really though with only ap and pp singing to you and seeming forced to go to PM do you even need another watch right now? Wait till something sings to you naturally and not force anything.

For two tone, I think this is worthy of consideration

In a nutshell. If only I could afford to have 3 SS Rolex's at the same time, I would actually save a bloody fortune in the long run, not continually flipping from one to another. I agree that you'll miss the Sub.

Two tone sub or GMT would fit the bill. I prefer the black over the blue, but both a great choices.

Seems you like a splash of color since the Hulk has remained with you. The 116613lb seems to be a logical choice.

Carlos, remember one thing that you and I had a conversation about.....you hate PCLs and they drive you nuts....that's why you got rid of your BLNR twice I think. So if you consider a PM model or 116613, they all have PCLs. Just keep that in mind.

As someone that's gone through every SS Submariner out there, have you considered other styles or brands? I love the Hulk and have been considering adding that alongside my Daytona, but I can't bring myself to do it until I try on the newly-announced black dial Royal Oak 15450. At 37mm, the case fits my wrist really well and wears larger than it's sizing indicates.

^^ This is soooo true. I found years ago that I "needed" different brands and all they offer in my collection. Flipping is a horrible sickness that drains your money. Stop flipping. You buy, you keep. Repeat again in another year when you can comfortably afford another luxury watch. This way in 10 years you have collected alot of great watches that can compliment your changing taste and moods.
It doesnt mean I love my Rolex any less or love the Rolex any more if I have other great brands in the watch box. Diversity is the cure for the flipping sickness.

If you got 15k, and want some PM within the Rolex family I suggest one of these!

I haven't worn my 14060 in more than a year, but I figured the design is timeless so it'll eventually get some wrist time. Unless you absolutely dread yours, I would check tuck it in a safe and wait it out.

You can always consider the Daytona, cant go wrong with that.

My friend, I hear you.

Go RG YM.

Seriously. It's just over your budget. But save a little bit.

Only watch I regret flipping. And it will be back someday. Without question
