Really tough choice as both are great but between the two the SS on bracelet is so versatile. I guess if I had to choose one it would be the white SS.

And I agree with you about the Pepsi...while I love the look and comfort of the jubilee the size and wearability of the Daytona is the choice for me.

I have another opinion outside this thread too opting for SS rather than the OF. I’m sure gonna miss the oyster bracelet if I’m going for the OF. What other factor makes you choose the SS over the OF? I have never held or tried on the OF, just tried the older croco version before. No idea how the OF sits, comfort, etc

Is this the 116515 you are aiming for?

I do agree with most on their preference of SS over PM oysterflex. I contemplated also for a long time before decided to go for it. I have never regretted the decision since. You need to see and feel it in person, as photos may not do justice to it. The sunburst RG when hit with halogen lighting reflects a very nice warm gold color. The black ceramic and the black oysterflex compliments the gold tone of the case perfectly. I found myself wearing the PM more than the SS now, it that means something to you!

As for the concern about the value of buying OF against PM bracelet, I feel that we take the value of the watch in its whole package and it does not necessary mean that its future value will be any less than that of its PM bracelet counterpart.

Your SS can co-exist with the PM oysterflex. I would strongly recommend not to sell any and save up for this PM OF instead. Good luck!

Not this particular dial, I’m aiming for the new choco dial. They used to have it in arabic index and choco subdial. On baselworld 2019, they have updated the colorway, using stick index and black on the subdials.

I would love to keep the steel daytona alongside the PM OF. But that would not be an option as I said before, no more funds on watches :) selling the pepsi to fund the OF could be and will be very nice though. But I like the idea of a one beater and one prime watch, where the beater is the 58, and would like just one prime. If I then decided on the SS, The pepsi will be gone too.

PM is just on another totally different level.

Upgrade for free especially since you got both of them at MSRP you wouldnt have too add anything to upgrade might even get a few grand back in your pocket.

Yeah, the fact that I get it at retail is the reason I’m thinking about the trade. It’s like ending up with a PM piece with the price of steel.

Very new model, maybe just a little out, the very first batch maybe. Saw a HK dealer put one up for sale and asking quite a premium.

If you want PM, you need the bracelet imo. That's part of the whole thing.

Sounds like you are ready to move on up to PM, ideally I would keep one SS and add cash but if there's no other way then this will have to do.

The OF bracelet is incredibly comfortable and it’s actually the one that gets the most wrist time. However, when I put the SS with bracelet back on it’s just balanced and comfortable. I think there is a place for both in a collection and would consider selling the Pepsi and saving up the difference to get the OF. While there is potentially a wait for one, it’s generally measured in months and not years so you should be able to get it when you are ready.

I would just have a hard time selling the SS but that’s just my opinion. As I said, the OF gets the most wrist time but the SS is probably my favorites, if that makes any sense.

Though call, especially with you having the DaytonaC.

That being said, once you wear PM, its just different. You’ll see. It’s hard to go back to SS no matter what the market dictates. I have a RG, YG and Platinum which dominate my wrist time, you just get drawn to them more.

I would do it. If you love the Tudor as your SS daily then no regret upgrading to the PM Daytona. And the new ceramic versions on Oysterflex are just so damn cool.

Buying PM is a slippery slope. Once you have one, the addiction REALLY begins.

I have a YG Daytona and plan on flipping an older SS Daytona for a new White gold Daytona. The prices are so high for the SS its a move I feel good about.

I for sure wouldn't do both. Maybe do a Daytona swap, but there is no way, repeat, no way in hell, I would let go of both of them. And this is coming from a die hard PM fanatic.

The high price for the SS is also the reason i’m thinking of letting the steel pieces go. It’s like I can get a PM piece for the price of steel sounds very tempting.

The comments have been 50:50 though

Keep what you have for sure. No way I'd let either of those go - profit or no profit. I prefer the white ceramic Daytona over all of the PM models anyway.

I would sell the the DaytonaC for the hugely inflated prices at the moment and add a few k for a nice second hand WG Daytona.

Gold >> Steel any day of the week!

Do it cause you want to do it and not because the ones you have are worth more than they should be. You yourself implied the bubble will be bursting and when it does not only will the bottom drop out of the steel models but it will more so for the PM's. Steels will stay moving at more realistic prices in a recession most of the PMs will start collecting dust.

I’d do a Daytona swap and keep the BLRO. I’ve owned DayC both white and black and this one blows them away...

So I am fully in the PM over SS camp, however I am not sure I would trade those two for an OF Daytona. Had it been a full PM with a bracelet, I would definitely say go ahead.

The premium you can command for either the BLRO or Daytona should get you pretty close to the price for the OF Daytona plus a small cash top-up right? That way you get to keep one of the SS watches and still have three watches.

Agree with others who say that PM should have bracelet not the OF strap. I traded a few SS models for a YG sub and am very happy.

I would keep what you have and add later when funds become available, even if it's years away. Otherwise you'll forever be chasing your tail buying back watches you wished you had kept.
