Funny stuff. Upsetting a Platona owner is probably the worst thing AD sales staff can do. I'd want an explanation for suddenly being able to omit the full service. That's just charming. I can't get my cheaper watches spruced up without sending them away for costly unnecessary dismantling. I hope she lost her employee of the month award.

I think you may have taken my post the wrong way. It was certainly not aimed negatively at you and I know you didn’t say that. It was more funny from my perspective as they didn’t look like doing anything until you showed them and they changed tact - rightly in my view.

I hope it comes back as you wish.

Why though.

I refuse to have people judge me on appearance. It’s the way i do business. People need to take me as I am and invest in my ability and how well we get on. That goes for friendships too.

Over the years of running my own business I’ve realised that sticking to your guns as mentioned above filters out all the people that end up annoying you in the long run.

an incredible story. You would think that after almost two years, you still remember a Platona buyer. And how embarrassing that the lady changed her mind immediately after seeing the Platona. That actually says everything about her attitude.

Haha, it comes with age. Same here, been there for 10 years.

Uniform (suit) for work, relaxing shorts or loose pants everywhere else.

Luckily, you can’t tell if people are wealthy on their dress code, so better treat everybody with respect, which is basically the right thing to do anyway.

Some ADs have not figured this out yet.

You can't refuse to be judged on appearance if someone else wants to judge you on your appearance. You can not GAF, not have them in your circle and not judge others on appearance but you can't really decide not to be judged yourself, people make subconscious incorrect assumptions all of the time, although I do get your point.

Yeah, I think they have this right in the Las Vegas boutiques. From my experience, they appear to treat everyone the same regardless of what you look like and can't do enough for you.

I always remember playing craps late into the evening/early morning one time and a guy appeared with a stained t-shirt, belly overhang and 'get up and go' hair appeared about 5am to join the game. Man, I've never seen as much money on a craps table in my life. He was probably gambling upwards of 5figs on each roll of the dice. He was the true symbol of not caring what other think. He was a proper nice dude too, that moment has always stuck with me.
