i've had my eye on a 16710 as well. i think with the current market, some
good "safe queens" may come on the market.

I have a 7 and 3/4 inch wrist. I wonder if there is anywhere in Dallas to try one? I’d like to be certain on the Rolex at that price. I do believe it will appreciate over time and I hope to leave a cool collection behind for my loved ones.

Believe it or not, the journey to the 16710 began with the BB. I noticed it in pictures on this forum and was instantly drawn to it. Much more so than the current Rolex Pepsi for me.

The BB gmt influenced me as well. If the BB were executed a bit better it would sell so well and hard to believe it would cannibalize. I wonder if the extra millimeter on the movement really makes that much difference in execution of the profile of the watch. .

Tudor is not a Rolex.

Great point. It’s the exact same build quality and heritage but without an artificially inflated price.

All the Models are great in their own way, the Tudor is not overpriced, looks fantastic and has the old Charme but it is not a 16710.

Get the Tudorif you are into that exact look and feeling. If you are looking for a 16710 but you dont Want to pay the huge amount of cash, i dont think you getting lucky.

Save the time and the money and buy the 16710 even if you have to wait a year or longer, it is worth the wait.

The 16710 is the ROLEX, no doubt about that.

Date wheel issues with the Tudor. It is a pass for me.

I guess I am one who like quality over quantity idea and hope to limit regrettable purchases. The premium for the 16710 is a bit of a turn off as well.

So many cool watches and I only want one of each…….
Surely the bits in bold answer your own question OP.

Nothing wrong with the Tudor, but if it would in ANY way be a "second best" in your mind to a 16710, then you'll be wasting your money buying it, as you'll still want the 16710. Done similar things myself in the past as always regretted not buying what I really wanted from the outset.

The Tudor is a great watch especially at the appealing price point.
Just make sure you aren't settling. There's a lot of great examples of the 16710 out there. Just do your homework.

What were they running 2-4 years ago before the madness?

It's weird being the same age as old people.

I love both, but if the price of the 16710 is too much, the Tudor GMT is a great alternative.
