No. I plan to upgrade from 16710P to 116710LN in a year or two. Prices in Tokyo for like new used LNs are running at about $6,000.00 USD. Although I like the more substantial clasp and the brushed center links on the new Sub, the multiple time zone functionality on the GMT is something I require. Additionally, as a non-diver, the 100M waterproofing is sufficient for my needs. I recently tried on the 16710 and the 116710LN at my favorite store in Tokyo (Kamekichi) and determined that the polished center links and I will be able to live together peacefully once their shine calms down with use. In my opinion, the improved movement, more readable face and triple lock crown make the 116710LN a better tool watch. It would be nice if Rolex produced the 116710LN with the new Sub bracelet.

I am def going to be picking up the black sub but still favor the old LV over the new ceramic hulk. Big fan of new casing and clasp

I am yet to see one in the flesh but in the pictures I have seen it looks very similar to the GTII-C so I doubt I will be pulling the trigger anytime soon.

I love my 16610 so no thanks

The next sub i am likely to buy is a vintage 5513, so going in the other direction chronologically!

I'd like to get one eventually when the price cools. I'm pretty sure my next watch will either be a gmt II or the sub. Either way I'll go with a trusted dealer here for my purchase

I am thinking about buying new releases of Rolexes. Except of the GMT IIc which hold their values quite well, not many new releases over the years really hold on to their original values after 2 -3 years. I am not buying watches with a view to realise profits. However, it doesn't feel good when you buy a new model and realise that the price goes down 10% to 20% for a brand new one after a while.

I bought the first batch of Deepsea and now realise that it would now cost at least 20% cheaper for a brand new one. Lucky that I could not afford the over-priced GV 2 years ago which has now return to the "normal" price.

For me, to own a new model as soon as available cannot offset against the feeling that I have paid too much afterwards.

I will look at the new Sub and would take a wait and see approach.

No, for the simple reason that I'd expect all new models to command a premium over MRSP during the first year and I hate overpaying.

Instead, I've bought a brand-new TT ceramic Sub at 22% off - much better value for money.

Most certainly for me. Just hope the initial launch price is not inflated by the demand.

Can't stand the cyclops.

Maybe the ceramic bezel and the new bracelet will fit my SD.
