Absolutely yes, I've said quite a few times the DD should be produced in stainless steel for those who want it. Although it might have an impact on Datejust sales.

I was offered a Day -Date in Stainless in the early 80's by a jeweler and told him No Way' Rolex never made a Day-Date in S/S. Makes me wonder now.

No for me. The precious metals make the DD more unique. With an SS body it would lose it allure.

Probably, because if you take the precious metals out of the price, the DD should be priced at about the SS DJ level.
