Great looking Rolex. An underappreciated reference in all its forms.

Congratulations on a great watch; the polar looks extraordinary!!! Mine is a Noir and I thinks it's a great tool watch (but then again so are most of mine).

Evan, I never knew they were under appreciated until coming here. They were considered cool years ago. Not that it matters either way - we both like them

Thank Andrew! The polar is a nice change from the usual black.

Hey Lee, I remember flipping through a Japanese magazine in 90's and seeing a male model wearing a Noir and it looked so stylish and badass. I really wanted one back then and never forgot that image. Ended up with the polar, but really could gone either way for me.

May I ask in what year did they start putting the 3186 movement in the 16750? Is it safe to assume that a 16750 with a RolexRolexRolex rehault will have a 3186 movement? and lastly, is it a Solid End Link (SEL) bracelet? Thanks

Congratulations Rob. Lovely piece. Really great photos, too. They make me want one, and I've never been much of an Explorer fan . . . till now.

Hi kopykopy, it's pretty safe to assume an engraved rehaut 16750 has a 3186. The years are 2008-2011. Nothing is ever for sure with Rolex though. Look up how to test a 3186 without opening the case. The one I liked was the full crown rotation at the jump hour setting should change the hour by 8-9 hours.

I found this article useful, hope it helps!

Much appreciated. I really think it's a cool looking model with the steel bezel.
