It totally depends on where you are located in the world, right!? And believe me, the world is big. In some countries or places is impossible to wear a rolex. They wouldn't cut off your arm though, yet ask you the watch gently pointing you a gun!!! :)

Myself can never understand these types of threads why is it when some think when buying a Rolex automatically makes them a target.Now I wonder if the millions upon millions of other Rolex owners have the same feeling. I would doubt that because of there extremely high sales over the past 50 odd years .So high they ran out of number single letter number combinations hence the so called random are all these past buyers worried I would doubt if.If anyone is worried about wearing there Rolex anywhere why buy it in the first place or keep in its box locked in a safe.Myself have been wearing Rolex watches for well over 30 years,and wearing in cities places that some would call risky,yet never had a problem.Fact in all those years of wearing you could count on one hand the number of times I have been asked about any watch I was wearing.Now if you are one of these types who goes around with a sticker on his/her forehead saying look I am wearing a Rolex then perhaps you could have a problem.

And I will say this once and once only no gun talks on forum and member tomallen this is a warning you will not get another

I always feel safe wearing mine here. In addition to a super-low crime rate, pretty much everywhere I go there's always someone with a nicer watch than mine who looks much easier to rob in close proximity... making me a pretty improbable target.

This sort of thread show that you are not keeping up with modern fashion.

My 40mm Sub looks very small and dainty in 2014. In the year 2000 it looked big, but now a days, everyone is wearing big chunky watches. To be honest, my Sub looks rather effeminate in this day and age.

If Rolex started banging out 45mm watches, you just may have something to worry about but a 40mm watch just doesn't catch the eye anymore.

This^^^^ Having travelled the world the personal danger of carrying an iPhone is 100X more than that of a Rolex.

With both, good judgment is required. I would stake my Rolex on the fact that their is a much higher % of Rolex owners with good judgment than iPhone users with good judgment (iPhoning while driving iPhone Moms scare the hell out of me and present a lot more personal danger to you than wearing a Rolex ever will).
