Sub with everyday dress shirts?

I've been researching the Explorer I (39mm) vs Submariners and went to a few stores to try them all on. I personally like the Sub's look more but I'm worried that it's not going to fit very well with everyday dress shirts and suits (have to wear these to work).

Anyone who says that a Sub is ok with a suit is kidding themselves. The bezel catches on the cuff and looks a total mess.

I once more my Sub with a suit and ended up taking it off and slipping it in my pocket.

If I wear a suit, I wear my Explorer which slides under the cuff and does not ruin the cut of the suit.

I used to shy away from wearing my Rolexes, because of my type of work, but lately I have been wearing my platinum Daytona. No issues or notice have been observed. It seems the older I get, the more I don't seem to give a pooh. I think a Sub looks great!

Hell I wear a DSSD everyday...I've worn it dressed up and down and love it. Though I am a big guy with larger wrists so it fits well. YMMV on the DSSD.
As for the Sub, I've had a few and you will have NO problems wearing that with whatever ensemble you choose....it can even be worn while diving or in the shower lol.....had to throw in that last part. Happy Monday !!

sub and dress shirt ( both french cuffs and button/barrel cuffs) works fine. I acutally wear DSSD with dress shirts & it works fine although I wear on left hand. Sub fine on either wrist but DSSD may be a bit of a problem on right wrist as crown can get hung up

I think you can wear any rolex with shirt and even suit. Now days and since the 80s it is acceptable to wear sport watches with suits and the sub is a really nice sports watch with classic design.

I happen to feel the Sub looks a bit silly with a suit.

You wouldn't wear brown wing tips while scuba diving would you?

Well silly maybe because the original sub was a tool watch, but the modern sub is so much a "jewlery" that it can be worn with suit. The modern sub is not a tool watch anymore though, no sport watches hardly are. Much of the original "rules" are forgotten like men wearing gold watches, not acceptable in all cultures but people still wear it. Or watches with diamonds, arnt diamonds for ladies? Also who says you need to flash your watch? I perfer to wear my pieces under my sleeve and not like many of you kids, showing them off.

I wear my GMT with a suit every week day and have even worn it with a tux so I don't think you will have any problems with a Sub [img]http://******.com/ws9eg[/img]
