Usually I'd drive. Love what I drive and love to drive.

Fly if the road is without interesting views or a traffic clogged corridor.

I'm with a few of the others here, if it's within 4 hours I'll drive. If over, I fly. But, as you said, if you can work in a meeting or two along the way then that changes things

Longest work drive was 11.5 hours. That was a long one across 3 countries & two phone call stops on the way.

Have covered almost 2000km in 2.5 days around Europe before, but it’s a lot faster to cover ground in Germany.

If a drive is less than 6 hours I would always prefer to sit in the car than fly. That brings me no joy, but driving does - especially long distance trips.
