Well if you are just jumping into trying to buy 10-20 watches in 2022 the chances are pretty high you are a flipper..it is a game of profiling. The AD is responsible for preventing flipping, and they have to profile hundreds of people they do not know to determine who may be a flipper.

AD is responsible for making as much money as they can.
Thats their only reason to exist as any other business.
If they were charitys it would be a different story

Then of course they can have rules internally. I have nothing against that.
And if I get told No you cannot buy this I accept. No problems.
My point was the statement that anyone buying more then 1 watch/year is taking away the chance for 'The True Collectors" to obtain a Rolex.

Yes their sole goal is to make money. However Rolex has made it the dealers' responsibility to not sell to flippers...whether that means losing the franchise or getting less product who knows. The dealers would be smart to comply as Rolex is shipping them product that at the current moment sells its-self and with a 35% margin. This is why most of the watches are going to known customers of the AD...if they have been doing business for someone for many years they have more certainty that the watches aren't being flipped.

My AD has a rule in place and I fully support them for having it. They go out of their way to do their best to share the watches around.

If I were an AD , I would have severe doubts that any individual who buys 10-20 Rolex models per year is a genuine watch collector .
I class myself as an ' average Joe ' who loves Rolex watches and I am certainly not bias or indeed envious !

Someone who wants to buy many watches quickly is not necessarily any different from someone who has just started wine collecting and wants to build a respectable cellar fast.

One should not assume that anyone buying many watches a year must be a flipper or insincere collector, whatever that is.
