Baffling on the service and polish. My white c500 is my daily for 9 months it has like 2 bracelet scratches only.

This was a refreshing read. Everything that goes up must come down. I recall getting “flamed” for wanting to sell my white 16500LN for $16,750.00 soon after its release.

I'm not sure I follow. The point of reviving this old thread is that "what goes up, still hasn't come down". In fact, it's much worse now as ALL steel professional models are affected not just the Daytona.

It’s a really good job you took the forums advice and never sold at $16,750, buy low sell high.

What model 116520 or 116500? How old?

I got a kick out of this, and though to myself "this sounds more like something that would have happened years ago". Took me the whole first page to figure out this was years old!

Daytonas and Hulks weren't really "special" the way people think of them now. The watches haven't changed (save for the ceramic bezel, which IMO is a aesthetic step back), just the secondary market prices!

Thought the same regarding the BLNR on oyster when it came out. Again, not a step forward aesthetically from the LN, and has since been far surpassed by the BLRO (which itself is a step back from its 5 digit older brother!).

Gosh... buy what you like guys. Don't let secondary market prices tell you what makes sense on your wrist.
