Double Incoming! Jubilee BLNR & Tudor GMT

Happy to share two of my latest additions, a Tudor Black Bay GMT "Pepsi" and Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR "Batgirl"!

I have been passively searching for the GMT since it was first released. However, it was not until last weekend that I stopped by a local AD (just to say hello ) and was offered one! To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to walk out with a new watch but I couldn’t pass on it.

As for the BLNR, it’s a watch I was always curious to try out. As you’d expect, my AD couldn’t get one of these anytime soon so I went ahead purchased it from a fellow TRF member, tomalf123. This was my first ever purchase through TRF and I’m happy to report that it was a very smooth transaction. Thanks again, Tom!

Needless to say, this past weekend turned out to be more expensive than I expected but I’m excited to spend time with the new pieces!

Apparently that's what people are calling the jubilee BLNR? 99% of the time, I still call it the Batman jubilee

Don't mind the "batgirl" haters. I wear the oyster bracelet BLNR and call mine a "GMT BLNR". In fact IMHO the superhero nickname is great for marketing to millennials but detrimental to actual owners. Multiple people who know nothing about the watch aside from an instagram tag approach me about the watch.

The debate now is jubilee vs oyster. But owners remember that the debate was whether or not the bracelet should have been all brushed glidelock to begin with. Goes to show if it's not one thing it's another.

Enjoy on your own terms!

I never really loved the jubilee bracelet from a astetics point, but I purchased another jubilee aftermarket bracelet for an Orient I own and damn it's comfortable! I can't imagine not getting the "Batgirl"! Screw the names I don't care that jubilee is where it's at.

Exactly. The names are ridiculous. You cannot support “Batman” and “hulk” and hate in “batgirl” they are all equally stupid and unnecessary. I constantly ignore the names in conversations and correct it with its proper name BLNR, BLRO, LV, etc.

Congrats on the incomings. I love the Tudor GMT and have no issue with the date change. I use the Smarty endlinks which work with either the fabric or leather strap (as well as 3rd party ones). IMHO it's just as good as a Rolex considering it's less than half the cost.
