Next time I'm going into a AD and asking them for a hulk and see what they'll bring out. LOL, extremely lucky, congrats mate.

Well, the long version is, I went to browse with no intention to make any purchase since I just pick up a blue DJ 36 a month ago ( from a different AD). I did look at the usual suspects , DJ, OP,DD, YM , PM daytona but since I am partial for stainless steel and white gold, nothing really caught my attention.
He asked what I was looking for and I casually answered Hulk and Pepsi ( me knowing the standard response will be negative ) . After a few minutes of conversation, he asked if I would be interested in a Batman. I asked if I can try it on and the next thing I know he bought out the watch ( in its coffin ) . While I was trying it , he said I would be crazy not to buy it ( I think he made that comment since he can sense that I was having second thoughts as I was stone face and yes, he said that the wait list is years and its going for a premium in the secondary market ). In reality , I was very excited but I was caught off guard ( since I know GMT are hard to get ,ergo it was not in my radar ) and I was expressionless ( haha). The next thing I know , I’m paying for it ( I even have to ask the price ) and its being sized. I was tempted to ask for the coffin but decided not to. At home, I saw they left the stickers of the caseback and clasp.

As the other forumer said, it was the luckiest watch day of my life.

PS—its my first purchase with this AD
Again, thanks to everyone
It’s so funny that there must be certain parts of the USA that just maybe don’t have the footfall, or too many ADs for the footfall?

“Flyover states” as Clyve from YouTube would say?

Either way, well done!
Huge waits around these parts

In retrospect, while we were having our 15 minute conversation, I think he was sizing me up. We talk about what I do , other brands that I have. My guess is he's trying to get a feel if I'm a keeper or a flipper. In the end, even without a prior purchase history, AD still have to make a sale.
And yes, I believe most AD have the hot models in stock (there was a thread on this before)

As far as having watches in AD safes there is no doubt. But rest assured that what you experienced is unheard of.

99.9% of the time there is no sizing up no matter what the conversation is. There are plenty of horror stories from ADs telling established customers that they don’t qualify for a watch of their choice unless they spend 100K on non watch purchases. Just overlay that over what you just experienced!!

We have always seen a few of these stories with every hot model. It’s does happen and keeps the dream alive for the 98.7%ers that will never ever see one at a AD let alone be able to buy one. I know a $15 million dollar lottery winner. That doesn’t mean I take all my kids college money and start paying the lottery with it.
