If this were true, the dive watches would be fitted with the Easylink.

You are confusing the Easylink with the diver's extension on older Rolex divers.

It appears that the Easylink is either a great solution, or it is too tight or too loose. Unfortunately I fall into the latter category. But, somehow I'll muddle through.

Mine is perfect. Not extended for sedated cold low blood pressure days and when I swell up I let it out and it's a tiny bit looser but not flopping around. Try adjusting the clasp detent position ? It took my AD 4 attempts but he really nailed it for me between the links and the detents.

I think 5mm is indeed an error of judgment. Should've put glidelock on all watches.
The adjustability of the glidelock is incredible no doubt, but depending on your wrist the actual clasp can be a little uncomfortable believe it or not.

I think it works for a sub for more than one reason, but I use it with my BLRO frequently. But when sized perfectly, I actually find the smaller GMT or Ex1 clasp to be more comfortable.

A 2mm glidelock functionality on a smaller clasp would be perfect.

5mm adjustment is a bit too much

3mm is perfect

I wish the easy-link was 3 mm
5mm is too much for me, therefore I have never used it.
