Has there ever been a black Buckley DJ?

Hello -

First-time poster here. My question is for the '70s-'80s S/S DJ crowd: I've become infatuated with the DJ 16030s with Buckley dials, and so far I have one with a white dial and black numerals and hands, and another with a deep lapis blue dial and white numerals and hands. However, I also love watches with black dials, and I'd really like to find a S/S DJ with a black Buckley dial, white numerals, and white hands. Has there ever been a black Buckley DJ?

Thanks!

Will you post pics of your dials? I’m not familiar with these?

Just Google "datejust buckley dial" and you will find plenty of pictures.

A black dial with painted black roman numerals? Seems like it would be rather hard to read.

I think they were produced in white, grey and gold (all black numerals and hands) and in blue (white numerals and hands). DJ and some DD too. Cheers from my grey 16030

There was no black Buckley dial, there was grey (at the pic above), a blue with white romans and the white with black romans.
You can only get the withe one today from Rolex.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.
