So, my 114060 is running just under 10 seconds fast. I set it perfectly about 9 days ago and over the course has picked up 9-10 seconds. I can live with it, but is something wrong mechanically?

As others have said 1 second/day is incredibly accurate for a mechanical watch.

Rolex specifies + or - 2 seconds per day, so your watch is within spec, and as others have said, this is quite accurate for a mechanical watch. If you take your watch off at night, you can try leaving it on it’s side (crown up or crown down). This will likely make it run slower at night and it will lose some of the time it gains.

Try regulating watch by positioning it at rest ( nights)

In general face up -faster. Face down -slower. Etc..

spec is +/- 2 sec/day, so this is normal. Even if it were 20 seconds fast at this point rolex wouldn't touch it. They would simply tell you it's normal. At the 30 day mark your watch can be up to 2 minutes fast or slow. Any more than that and then you can take it in.

Everyone who has a mechanical watch should go and learn about the movement and what it’s actually doing thousands and thousands of times an hour! Nearly 7 million beats since you set the time from a mechanical device that can vary depending on position and it’s gained 10 secs! So gained one second every 691,000 beats. That’s a triumph of engineering.

Ever since I added PAM 372 to my collection, which doesn't have the seconds hand, I stopped obsessing over +/- accuracy of my other watches. My advice to you would be to stop timing & enjoy wearing more.

With Rolex spec being +/- 2 seconds/day and your complaint being about 10 seconds over 9 days, I'd recommend paying better attention during math class. Just consider how fast it would be after a year?? You could write that the watch is running 6 minutes fast.
