You are going to get in trouble if you keep him on a leather strap.

Been wearing and enjoying this 18249 recently - Amazing how nicely the WG/bark shines in the sun, it surprises me a little that this style wasn’t more popular. Also a favorite ’interrupted bark‘ bezel variant. (Now if only I can source a WG/no markers factory onyx dial for this! Any suggestions or assistance would be deeply appreciated.)

I love it!
Bark Presidents are my favorite by far, and with an exotic stone dial it would be the ultimate!
Wear it in good health

Thanks!

Also, I just noticed that the three above mine show the (only?) three variations of vertical striated dials - Tapestry in the center, and presumably one of the two DD40s (I’d guess it’s the first one) is what they now just call “vertical stripes.” Is there a name for the other one?

Yes, mine is the "silver stripe motif" and the other DD40 dial's official name is the silver "quadrant motif".

BTW- noticed on the Rolex site that the Platinum DD40 is now offered in nine non-diamond dials(and five diamond dials)including silver quadrant and silver stripe motifs like above-more choices from for those buying a platinum DD.

Thank you and I have to agree with you. It has always been my favorite dial for as long as I can remember. The silver complements the gold so well.
