Difficult to buy at the AD. Supply of 15500’s to non-boutiques is very limited due to AP policy to move to a boutique-only model the next years.

Indeed, allocation for 2018 and 2019 was full according to some ADs..decided that paying a premium of 3k on retail is worth the monthly cost I would have to wait. Issue is finding a new one at that price. Grey market is savage!

Not an everyday wearer like my Rolex explorer, but when the occasion comes, it sure does hit another level of style, luxury, status, and beauty!

Congratulations. Stunning! May I ask if there were any of the boutiques in Switzerland where you felt that you got a clearer sense of wait time or likely positive outcome. I live in a country with no ADs or Boutiques and need to choose somewhere (ideally in Europe) where I can get a 15500 (grey dial). I don't have a relationship and realise I am targeting a high demand watch. I am happy to wait. With exchange rates etc Switzerland seems a good option. Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks.

Great! 15500 is vastly improved over the 15400

There are two boutiques in Geneva. After I bought mine, I went back to one to look for a travel case (they don’t even sell those..). I asked them to check where I was on the list, and they told me 1 year. Initially they quoted up to 2 years, with the chance of getting lucky if others drop off. Honestly, if you can find an offer with a premium of 3k above retail - just do it. Work out the maths what you would pay per month for 2 years...might help you pull the trigger. Geneva is just as stuck for first time buyers as any other place unfortunately

And I went back to the boutique just to stick it to AP!! Screw this! It’s nonsense that we have to beg and wait 2 years to drop 20k on their products...they should be running to anyone that is willing to do that..

And many thanks is to all for all the compliments
