With exception of having varying complications such as dual time, date, or time only, they are all essentially equal in performance and “best” is subjective to the needs of the end consumer.

I’ll always be a big advocate of the 3135. It’s a workhorse.
I think the new movement only benefits Rolex’s value engineering initiative (cost cutting), peppered with a really good marketing newbie campaign that gets gobbled up as planned.

31×× has proved its worth since 1989, the 32×× has only been out since 2015 and might still need to undergo some minor changes. Time will tell.

My point was bad English humor, I would prefer the 3135 regardless of model. And would choose a model with that movement instead. I’m not personally bought into the 3235 which is what the OP is really trying to find out.

It is refreshing especially nowadays to see a thread about the Rolex calibers!
All of them a proven workhorses except 3235 (DJ41) which is newer and more technically advanced movement than the previous generations and has 70hrs power reserve. Very handy feature if the watch is worn in rotation. My DJ41 keeps very good accuracy, on average it gains 1 sec per day. What I notice when I manually wind the watch is that it appears more coarser than the previous gen. |

The smoothest movement That I’ve ever felt is the Tudor MT5602. Butter. But does that mean better? I have never owned or handled an AP or Patek.
