Kind of sketchy - they have the correct ref (16570) along with an incorrect (216570) in the title. I'm sure they are trying to just get more views in searches but can definitely be misleading to the uneducated buyer.

Reading feedback for the seller, seems like there are some sketchy practices. Selling watches with aftermarket parts and listing those parts as original factory, wanting buyers to pay for items outside of eBay and selling items outside of eBay and not ending auctions before items are bought on eBay. It sounds as if the OP bought the watch already so hopefully everything is good to go on the watch.

This place is literally located at the end of my street. It's a pawn shop. I've been at this house for 4 years and never gone in. I've offered to check this place out for people. I wish I saw this post sooner. They have loads of auctions on ebay. They put the other serial number in the description to garner hits when people search on eBay. I'll check this place out in the next couple of days and write up my opinions of it and the folks running it.

I am not saying it's fake but the watch in your photos is different from the one in auction. The "II" of "EXPLORER II" on the dials are different.

If that consoles you, OK.
That watch you got has issues.
It is NOT the one in the listing, on top of other things.

It may not be a fake but it may fit with prior complaints about the shop. Swapping out factory parts with aftermarket yet selling the piece as 100% original.

Hmm, I was at Tourneau today and sorta got them to take a look at the watch. They were willing to offer $4000 towards a trade in or -20% to buy the piece. perhaps its best to just return it and save myself the agony chalk it up as a lesson

ah i see what you mean, the II is more like the M serial's dial, while this one is has a more seperated II. this was from comparing one of the Explorer IIs for sale in the for sale section

It was through eBay. Use the eBay return service. This way you have eBay and Paypal behind you. List all differences from original pictures in auction to what you received as the reason for return. You did not receive as described or what was pictured. I would also list the auction headline discrepancy.

I'd return as the watch isn't as described. Not only the "II" of "EXPLORER II", the position of "I" in "SWISS" is different from the listing.

Good evening Gentleman

My name is Eddie and I am the owner of the company collectors coins jewelry here in Massapequa Park Long Island.

To answer all your questions and concerns I was forwarded this thread,
(We are well known so even when a thread like this pops up I get the 411)

We have a heavy presence in preowned Rolex on the Internet.

Follow my listings shopccj.com

Our watches are not Frankensteins
our watches are all 100% original unless otherwise stated in very detailed description

We sell over 30-40 Rolex per week not including other brands

We sell on various different websites and that's why some complain that we end auctions and/or take items off certain platforms for private sales which is fine. At 99.3% feedback

The explorer that was bought is the more disirable ||dial instead of the Roman numeral connecting. So that is an actual version of the watch but we will be happy to take the return

We put two reference numbers in titles to attract more leads and the actual description of the item only lists the actual reference of the item being sold

We have over $10million in inventory from jewelry watches and coins listing on three eBay accounts. Exquisitejewels. Collectorsbuysell. primediscounting

Also, I beleive Brendan walked in today asking me about Rolex and I showed him two submariners which if it was him I'm sure he can vouch for those

So if any of you gentleman need a Rolex. Now you know who to ask for and which company to work with. We have the best prices on preowned Rolex from any preowned dealer out there

Thanks for your time

Yes, that was the initial thought that made it seem ok to buy from your shop. so many other more expensive rolexes than that explorer ii have been sold. Tourneau did verify it for me, although they claimed they never do that. But they lowballed me on it.
