That’s awesome. Looking on the classifieds here, I was beginning to think that Rolex was like a car you leased. Leased and flipped a couple years later. More and more rare these days people actually obtaining and really living life in their watch now days.

The thing is, that was one of things that Rolex designed for. A watch that you could buy and would last you the rest of your life. Among my dad's friends who had Rolexes or Omegas, or whatever, they didn't have a collection. They bought one and that was their watch. And these guys were like the cast of Madmen; advertising executives. I think nice watches were considered a status symbol but they were also utilitarian. When they were collecting they collected things like old scotch and young girlfriends...
