Rolex 5700 Air King Date with 1520 movement?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Air-K....c100667.m2042
Something does not seem right here on this listing. I thought the Rolex Air King dates don't use 1520 movements and use another caliber. |

The Ref. 5500 was fitted with either the caliber 1520 or 1530 depending on the year of production.

It could very well have been a top end that was replaced since the base movement is the same

The 5700 uses the 1520 with an added date function. Officially called the 1525, but I am not sure if there were ever any "1525" marked bridges. If there were, I've never seen one. Every 5700 movement I've seen has had a "1520" marked bridge. |
