Anyone own the Datejust 41 diamond dial rhodium on jubilee?
I bought the DJ41 with black dial with sticks and jubilee band. I thought it wore to small and sold it and bought the DJ ii rhodium diamond dial. I just recently tried on the DJ41 Wimbledon dial and for some reason it wore larger and I thought it looked a lot better then the black dial. Anyways is the rhodium diamond dial too flashy or dressy for a everyday wearer? I like the oyster bands but the PCLs just show too many scratches for me. Wanted to give the jubilee another chance and like that I can buy both bands and swap them when I want on the DJ41. Does this watch look small on my 7.5 inch wrist?

I think that this combination is absolutely perfect. I’ve worn mine in a suit and in shorts and a t shirt. It has the perfect amount of “flash”, without over doing it. It is extremely comfortable. I actually think that the DJ41 line is very underrated overall. I picked this combo over the same combo but in blue. I was able to compare them side by side in person and like the rhodium a bit more. The rhodium is amazing with the diamonds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Forgot to mention I have 7.5” wrist. I like being able to adjust it on the fly as well.

Thank you. I wear a DJii rhodium diamond dial as my daily. I feel like it flies under the radar. But on a jubilee I’m sure you can notice it a mile away. ;) I am torn between the Wimbledon and the diamonds again. I kind of want the Wimbledon but I feel the balance of the diamonds and since I have them already will be missed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You might end up happier with the diamond dial. I only say this because I was obsessed about getting the Wimbledon dial which is stunning (even the 9 o'clock, not sure why people get hung up on that...), but nonetheless, that dial/watch would have been worn only a few days a week, maybe just one. As for the diamond, you could mix-and-match that with any attire, any engagement. Any day of the week. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah no problem. Here are a few! Not sure why the quality was so poor the first time I posted. I hope these are better.

I understand why they did it I just don’t know why they did it lol. I know it’s supposed to balance out the watch face and that makes a ton of sense... until you see how awesome they have done the azuro blue and new white dial with the gold romans. It’s beautiful. So I think they could have made it work without the 9 marker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have this in my collection now and I wear it as my daily. So I agree the diamonds are definitely more versatile. But since I have diamonds already I will sell this one and try and source a oyster with the new 41. I think that’s the ultimate combo imo to be able to swap bands on your watch gives it a totally different look. |

It's interesting because when I first saw this dial I was like "How damn unique that 9 marker is, absolutely loved it!" Then after many years and recently researching the dial, I saw all this banter about it... and just didn't get it. Symetry is great, but so is design.

looks good on you so just comes down to whether or not you like bling. it seems like you do since you already have it with diamonds but the jubilee takes it 1 step further. i'd probably go with the diamonds but i'm biased as both my watches have them

Laszlo.. True they could have made it work without the 9 marker but I'm glad they didn't. I like the green romans too. There is the white and Azzurro blue with full wg roman's that always work as you said. I'm loving the blue on the Azzurro dial.

I was going to say go for the diamonds on jubilee. People tend to be all or nothing when it comes to diamonds so if you had the option and didn't take it, I think you'd lament their absence. Definitely not too small for your wrist either imo. My wrist is a bit bigger than yours and always thought the DJ41 wore nicely on larger wrists. Big congrats

Thank you all for the advice. I honestly love the jubilee better then the oyster. I do miss the bigger watch and bezel but after hindsight and a lot of money the DJ41 is perfectly proportioned and balanced. I know it will age better in the long run and have no regrets flipping the DJII for the DJ41. Ironically I originally had a DJ41 black fluted and thought it wore too small and traded it for the DJII. So now I’ve come full circle. Lol
