Fluted bezel DJ with rubber/leather strap

Hey guys, I'm curious as to what the DJ with a fluted bezel looks like with a rubber/leather strap. Has anyone done this? Would love to see!

Nice straps! For the 41, will a 20mm strap work just fine? Reason I ask is because there are almost no selection for the 21mm.

I am sorry, this is just wrong. If Rolex wanted DJ to be on strap, they would have made an endlink for it, like the Daytona

There's no right or wrong here but one thing is for sure, it doesn't matter what Rolex wants. It's up to the owner.

Inb4 that’s what she said joke

DJs look great on leather straps. Rubber strap wouldn’t look bad on smooth bezel

If I get a DJ, I will definitely get a strap as an optional bracelet for it. To heck with what Rolex says!

I could go with a strap on the DJ as it gives the watch a different look but for me a rubber strap needs to be on a 'Sport' style watch.

A rubber strap doesn't belong on a Datejust IMO.

Not so much related to the width, the biggest issue with putting a strap on a 41 is the spring bar hole placement. The holes are very close to the case. Too close in my opinion. First, the case will grind the inner part of the strap. Next, and to me more importantly, the lug protrude well beyond the radius of the strap when on the wrist. It looks terrible and creates a fairly sharp contact point for snags.

I have a couple of pics, but traveling today so will try to update later.

I advise to avoid a strap on the 41.

It’s good to know Rolex knows what’s best for me.
