Incoming

Just received a 116520, G serial that I had been searching for.
Love the watch.
When I hold the watch near my ear and gently move it from side to side I hear a quiet, short swirling sound. I don’t hear anything from my ceramic Submariner.
I’ve had several watches with Valjoux 7750 movements that definitely made a relatively audible sound upon moving the watch.

Anyone who owns a 116520 heard the same sound?

That sound you are hearing is completely normal. The rotor uses a ball bearing on the 4130 movement. Congratulations on the 116520. It’s an amazing timepiece.

Thank you.
I’ve been reaching out to several people and getting mixed answers.

That sound is perfectly normal. It seems even louder in PM cases. Congrats and enjoy!

Miss mine. I traded my 116520 to get a 116515 . Trade value at the time was $10k. That was before the SS ceramic came out. Live and learn.

Very nice. I tried the Ceramic and while it is nice, just went full circle and I think the metal bezel looks better. Looks clean and consistent.
