Initially I thought that it was a bad move by the OP.
But having read the thread, it appears that it may have been the opposite and work in their favour. I hope to read just before Christmas an "Incoming" thread :-) On seeing the photo of the rigging, you certainly had a lucky escape. And as you said, things can be replaced, but not YOU!
