Rolex datejust oyster perpetual 41 lume
Hello,
I've just received a brand new datejust 41 (black dial, oyster, fluted). The watch glows green and I read someplace that new datejust should glow blue. Can anyone confirm that? Purchased at an official retailer. Thanks. |

My DJ 41 also tends to be more greenish/Miami dolphins than pure blue.

As far as I am aware, a new Datejust should have Chromalight luminescent which has a blue hue.

Heres mine. I know it's not a full lume dial but it is chroma light, not quite a real blue blue like my others.

Chromalight is more of a teal blue than true blue. My camera picks it up different than it looks IRL. I'll post some pics from my phone in a bit, but it's definitely not superluminova power lime green. If your DJ looks like that, there's a problem.

I solved the DJ 41 lume colour issue with white gold Romans.
Wanted to match my wife'd DJ but in a 41 not a 36. Waited a while for this combination.

Thanks everyone. I did solve the issue.
Apparently it is blue. Very strangely it's somewhere between green and blue to my eyes but under the camera it's blue as it should be. Strange. |

Here’s a few shots of mine for lume colour; it’s more blue hued than green (I have a Hamilton that is much more on the green side of the spectrum). Like the pics above, all the same watch but each looks slightly different to the camera depending on ambient light.
