LOL
Buying something you dont even want? Cant get anymore insane than that. If you buy it you will 100% lose money. No gray dealer is going to pay you what you paid especially in todays dropping market. |

What if you buy it and then stuck and can’t sell it and then the dealer offers you the gmt a later and you can’t buy it.
Or they might not offer the gmt at all if they know you bought and resold. Save and wait for the one you want. Or buy but be prepared to appreciate what you bought as you may be stuck with it or take a loss (maybe big) if you want to sell |

If you flip the watch straight away you will lose money - either in fees to eBay/Chrono/Paypal or by a grey dealer undercutting you.
If you wear the watch for a while you will also lose money as it will then be used, and you'll still be subject to above. If you think the loss justifies the 'relationship' then maybe it's good value... Unless you like the watch and intend on keeping it, I'd pass on it. The AD will likely respect your decision to pass on it and show your serious intent on the GMT. If you buy to flip you run the risk of being found out and 'blacklisted'. There was a recent post on here where someone has listed a watch on FB and been caught out by the AD. If you end up buying the watch - congrats and enjoy! If not good luck in your hunt for the GMT! |

After thinking long and hard I’m going to leave this one, and keep my money for the watch I actually want.

Don't buy watches you don't want.
You won't build rapport flipping watches, unless its a bundle deal thats all at the one time. |

Unfortunately, and for reasons I don't really understand, the EXP2 has never been known for particularly strong resale value, and if you play that game, you're going to have to keep it in unworn condition to minimize your losses...and who wants to do that?
There's always the gamble that Rolex will do something crazy with the model at Basel this year, or in the near future, and if that happens, (and that's a huge IF), then secondary prices could go up. But, again, that's yet another game you may not want to play. Bottom line, I wouldn't buy it if I didn't want it. By the way, huge EXP2 fan here. Don't let me talk you out of buying one of the best watches made today on the planet, IMO. Only you know if your heart is or isn't in it. |

Since I’m looking for an Exp2 polar, I would take the deal, not to flip it but maybe later on you’ll see the utility value of this piece compared to a GMT rotating bezel. Good luck on your final choice!
