Any Bumblebee Recommendations?
I like to match my watches with my outfits (a little OCD I know), so if I am wearing something red, I'll wear a watch with red in it, same goes for blue, orange etc.
For green I obviously have eye set on Kermit or Hulk when I find one at right price. But for yellow I haven't found anything that I am really in love with. I like the Chopard GP Monaco yellow/black chronograph. But was curious if anyone had any other "bumblebees" they liked and would recommend. Any price range it could be a Casio to Patek. |

AP made an interesting bumblee 42mm Offshore if I remember correctly. Also their forged carbon diver would qualify as a bumblebee and is quite the looker.

iwc big pilot perpetual miami edition is my 'bumblebee', great piece. only made 50 though.
the vegas big pilot (non-perpetual) has same colors, but they only made 15. if you were good with yellow dial and didn't need the black -- the breitling avenger ii seawolf is a nice beater. fp journe has a yellow dial octo sport on with a black case & bracelet, nice piece |

Doxa Poseidon is another. Love black and yellow as a combo!

In the Doxa line Sub300T series they've the Divingstar. It is an achingly gorgeous "bumblebee"-type.
THIS is the watch I spotted as a kid which ignited an interest in watches. I had perhaps a five-second glance at the dial and remember viewing some SCUBA tanks and what I think were the words "US Divers". If not already for a large house project underway I'd have snagged one of those babies when they became available this past November. |
