Datejust 36 vs 41
I've never accepted the 41 datejust, and always thought of the 36 as the real deal.
Even in discussions, they used to roast the 41. Nowadays I feel the love for the 41 is growing in discussions, and I'm starting to like it too! What are your thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Some folks like the bigger piece, especially on-line. To each her own. I prefer the 36.

Only ones liking the 36 is the ones who have won it. 40 mm is good size

The DJ36 is the real DJ in my eyes. It has the perfect proportions: 12mm thickness with the 36mm diameter.

I'm going with 36. It spent most of its life in that size. 40mm + sized DJ is a new idea.

I prefer the DJ II. I have a larger wrist and it looks better to me.

In pictures and on paper the DJ41 appeared to me as substantial as a watch can be but when I tried it on I was shocked by its proportions to the point I had to ask the sales person if she was sure the watch on my wrist was the 41 not the 36.
Don’t know how Rolex managed to make it look that small. I personally don’t only see it for men but also it looks stunning on girls wrists. The new DJ41 is a one size fits all Watch.

Pictures are deceiving. The 36mm looks perfect on everyone and it photographs larger- in person MOST people lean towards 41.
I think 36mm is ageless but for now 41 is probably the correct answer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

36 feels too small for me. It doesn't look bad, but it's a much more "vintage" style. The DJ41, which is actually 39-point-something mm, feels much more contemporary to me without actually being large.

I tried on both and felt that 36 is better suited for my wrist.

Can't go wrong with either, it really depends on personal preference. DJ41 is a great size, not too large, I think the L2L is only 46 or 47. Also, the cyclops on the 41 is a little better proportioned and doesn't eat up the whole dial.

There is no right or wrong, better or worse. Just get the one you like and don't worry about the opinion of others. At the end of the day it is your money and buy what makes you feel good not what makes others feel good.

I prefer a relative large watch, not giant, 41 is my choice.

With an 8" wrist the DJ36 or DD36 are not for me. Even the DJ41 when I first tried it on felt too small, but I still ended up with one and got used to the size. The DJII I had is definitely my favorite size.

DJII looked the best imo. I don't have a large wrist (6.5). The fluted bezel seemed more pronounce and the watch just has more presence. Plus, the DJII was cheaper by about $3k or so i believe. Check out the DJII in person if you can. |

I have the DJ41 and for my 7+ wrist I like how it looks and feels. Even on my wife's smaller wrist it looks good. But for her I must say the DJ36 fits her perfect.

Not a fan. I had the Milgauss GV at 40mm. Loved the look / heft...but that case felt out of proportion > 36mm. Forty one would feel even bigger. |

36 for me....the DJ41 is a huge improvement over the prior but to me the proportions are still bloated a bit.

I'm bias to the 41 because I just got one. Both are great watches but I picked the 41 Blue for its size, dial color and new movement.
