Hello, I am the seller of this watch on ebay and examined the movement only to determine authenticity. I assume from the comment about the band that it is not original to the watch. I plan to investigate and post the results on the ebay site as we have no intention of decieving our customers. This watch came from an unclamed safe deposit box and is just as we found it. Thank you for the heads up about the band- James 501 590-4745

...yes...

...the ref# on the folding clasp is that of a Jubilee band. ...the links are obviously those of an Oyster band. ...the stampings on the folding clasp are consistent with those found on fakes. ...you should either remove the band in it's entirety or replace it with a genuine Rolex band found on that model watch. ...notwithstanding, WELCOME to the BEST Rolex Forums on the PLANET! I trust that you will enjoy your stay here and possibly contribute by helping us weed out the garbage that is so prevalent on eBay and other sites. Stan. |

It's truly nice having a conscientious seller that is interested in doing the right thing. So often we are putting up with defensive Power Sellers that used to get away with selling crapola and are now crying the blues.
