The Daytona is a great watch but not worth trading those two watches.

I don't know why this thread is so one sided. The values are a little in the favor of the daytona owner, but really not that much. In Canada, sub date sells for 11-12K, and the batgirl 17-18K, so 29-30K. Black dial Daytona's sell for at least 28-29K (this is all canadian pesos).
Let's not forget that a steel ceramic daytona, black or white dial, is one of, if not THE hardest Rolex watch to get from the AD, and definitely the most desirable. Neither the sub date or batgirl are even close. Batgirl would be harder to replace, but sub date wouldn't be difficult to replace. Just wanted to provide some counter arguments, as this thread has really piled on to the other side. |

Nah! A lousy deal, but you have to decide if it's worth it to you.

I don't really see this as a bad deal. Trade in values are not the same as selling asking price for a watch. If there is no cash out of pocket for me I would trade the GMT and the sub for a Daytona. None of these watches are impossible to replace, but buying a Daytona at MSRP is difficult and therefore if you want one you will be on the re seller market. If, today, I could buy black dial Daytona for 18K that would be a good price. A sub and GMT in trade are probably worth 17 -19K. Also I would rather have the Daytona than either the GMT or the Sub. My.02. So yes I would part with two for the one.
