Rolex 16220 - What dial is this?

Hi all,

So I came accross someone selling this Datejust, but I couldn’t find one with a similar dial? The one with the regular Roman numerals look different.

Anyone able to shed some light?

It may be an aftermarket dial. Datejust dials are too numerous to know for sure

That dial with smaller applied roman numerals than you might expect on later watches was correct, circa 1990.

Those are the thin roman numerals they used from the late 80s into the mid 90s... I have never seen an aftermarket of this particular dial style... looks good to me and it would be quite the rare dial

I have a 1985 reference 16030 with a small font roman dial. I like it much more than the later large font roman dials. Looks good to me.
