Incoming!

Been looking at a few different Grand Seiko references for awhile now and came across this one and it checked all the boxes. Spring Drive + beautiful dial + GMT complication + stainless steel it was just exactly what I was looking for and having it in hand I know I made the right decision. I love the bracelet it comes on and also love the blue Mugatoo that they offer for this so I ordered one as well for a little variety.

My only minor change would be slightly smaller but that's probably cause I'm used to my DJ36 and it's by no means too big at 41 just a personal preference.

Reference SBGE249, wrist size is around 7''. Just some quick phone camera pics will try to get some better images later when the new strap comes.

Congratulations and welcome to the club! It’s been my near daily-wearer since I got mine in August.

It’s really an amazing choice. The level of finishing/detail is second to none. I really don’t know how someone would look at GS and look as a DJ and take the DJ over the GS.

Thanks everyone!

Took out a link and it's sized perfectly now so first day with it on the wrist and it sits great on there. Definitely glad I went with this reference vs. a lighter titanium one I think the lack of weight would have bothered me.

I don't think so when I checked their website last week it still had an option to put down a deposit I think potentially the last batch is coming this spring.

I bought mine used which I do when possible since I put mine to use and little nicks and scratches don't bother me at all. Mine only has one noticeable mark on the bezel otherwise it's perfect and was discounted from MSRP.

A week on the wrist now and still love it. Still mesmerized by the second hand sweep and the beautiful dial. I also really like the power reserve complication as well which is something I never thought twice about with a watch it's somewhat satisfying to see though. After a week it's 1 second fast - pretty incredible.

Some updated images after getting my extremely overpriced but awesome new strap in the mail yesterday. I really like the OEM SS strap it came on but I think this new strap is phenomenal and probably will spend the most time with it.

Yep. It's a very nice strap just quite expensive but I suppose it has to be being custom for this watch. It looks better than my pictures because those were taken with one of the spring bars not in all the way whoops!

What accuracy are you getting per day? I'd like to own a GS one day.

the spring drive is living up to it's accuracy claims. After two weeks it was about 2 seconds fast total.
