Daytona possibilities/dilemma ...
Mind is in overdrive. Have an option to pick up a new 116505 choco dial or 116506 PT, both from my AD. Initially, first thought leaning towards the 116506.
Reasoning for 116505: Recently purchased the PT DD40 ice blue dial. Do I really need (No) or want (maybe) 2 PT in collection? Does having only one PT make it more special? Ice blue dials are similar. 116505 is prob around 30K less. Reasoning for 116506: Nothing I can add here other than yeah, it's dope. Does anyone have the 116505 choco dial? Seen one in the flesh? Impressions? Thoughts? This is a luxury dilemma and I certainly don't need either one. I'm curious, anyone have any thoughts to share? Thanks |

I’d love both. Practically for me the Platinum would be a better option for my lifestyle. It would be a hars choice in RB between that and the GMT CHNR.

It’s very hard for me to advise against the PT Daytona since that is my probably my favorite in production Rolex. However, two Platinum Rolex does seem redundant. Slightly
Tough call, but rest assured, you can’t go wrong here either way. All great watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The new choco dial without the hard to read arabics is now a great watch.

I would go with the Platona. The ceramic bezel vs. the scratch magnet gold bezel is reason enough.
If you feel like you've got too much platinum, then you can always flip one of them down the road. |
