Does the bracelet for the 18239 fit the 1803?

Hi all,

I purchased a really nice white gold 1803, but it was the head only. I am interested in picking up a white gold "president" bracelet for that watch. I found one on eBay, but it is a bracelet for a more modern ref 18239 Day-Date. The seller says the bracelet will fit the 1803, but I have my doubts. The seller is not in the U.S., so I need to be careful.

Does anyone know if an 18239 bracelet fits the 1803? Sorry, I don't know the bracelet code, but I do know that the end links are 55BG's.

Thanks,

Dave

An 1803 uses a 53 end link and the 18039/18239 use 55 end links. The 1803 cases are slimmer so a 55 end link may be a bit big and need some substantial massaging to make it fit.

I have my doubts too, but I don't know for sure. Rolex will still sell you a bracelet for a WG 1803. It will make a hole in your wallet, though.
