AD called today

Got a text from one of the AD in NYC that they just got a delivery of SS Datejust 41 in blue dial. 3 types of variation too with the bezel and bracelet. They offered to waive shipping and insurance. Because of the timing, I had to turn her down. Advised her that I only want a Pepsi GMT if it ever shows up. Times are tough because I have absolutely no history with this AD.

So Rolex is currently shipping product? Might be they have had this piece and people passed and your name came up.

It’s interesting they are still getting product. I had ordered a DJ for daughter and she wanted a certain dial which I had to order. My AD sent me an email yesterday saying he now expected it in May. I did appreciate him reaching out. I cant imagine too much more in the shipping pipeline.

Product could have already been in country waiting to clear customs.

It's very interesting that they are open! How are they receiving these shipments?
All nonessential businesses are to be closed Rolex ADs are not essential!

I suspect its not a delivery they received but stored inventory that they are releasing.

That was your cue to buy the DJ and work up some history towards the Pepsi

It’ll be interesting if they call you again. Especially offering a Pepsi GMT.

A few weeks ago I was quoted a waiting time of ˝ year for a TT Datejust with diamond dial. Had to decline because who would want to wait that long for a TT datejust.. Pretty sure things will change in the near future.

Even though AD's are not supposed to ship, or say so, they do ship to gray dealers, and sometimes even right to the end buyer for a gray dealer.

Only essential workers can go to work. I’m sure some non-essential workers are still going in occasionally. They can definitely still keep their doors closed and work inside. Not sure how it can be policed.

Maybe she’s reaching out from home.

Stay tuned in the US for what Fed's say this weekend. That's the end of the 15 day plan and if it gets extend to May or longer not sure what way things will go. In our area everything is closed with no date for re-open.

That must have been hard. I’m still always blown away by my blue DJ41. It is easily my favorite in the collection. I don’t blame you though... when my AD called, if she hadn’t had offered me a Pepsi, I would have turned down any other model due to everything going on.

Hopefully everything works out and you can snag one of those later!

Not sure that a SS Blue dial DJ41 is that hard to get, my local AD had one sat in the window when I went in 48 hours before non essential shops in the UK were ordered to close. The AD actually had a number of SS DJ's on display, some fluted some plain, some on a Jubilee some on Oyster, if I had been in the market for one I had plenty to choose from.
