Could this be the case...?

Trying to post this again so apologies if it’s done it twice!

Hi everyone, hope you and your families are all keeping well and safe.

I’ve noticed a specific trend. Sorry if it’s come up before... last week it was the flood of incomings of the SD 126600. I was then offered one by my AD last week too! The last 24 hours have been a few incomings of the CD 116500. My question is. Do Rolex send specific models to AD’s around the world all at the same time? If this is the case I’ll hit up my AD to nudge him about the SS Daytona!!

Thanks guys

I can almost guarantee you that your AD has a Daytona in the safe...the issue isn’t unfortunately if he has one, it’s if he wants to sell it to you.

This is correct, yes, they make the watches in batches that are sent off from time to time. They don’t continuously make all watches in parallel. Most vertically integrated manufactures work that way. The reason is that the same machines can do many different things, so it’s more inefficient to put ten machines next to eachother to do different things in parallel, when you could just retool five machines from time to time to all do the same thing at a time. There‘re also a lot of people involved that deliver more efficiently if you don’t ask them to rethink what they‘re doing for each piece that passes their desk.
