Watch winding

I have a few watches that I hardly wear at all, once in awhile I get them out of my safety deposit box & but them on the winder. How long is long enough to keep them on the winder?

I don't know that you ever have to put one on a winder...

To properly use a winder, you should wind the watch fully, then the winder will keep it wound. A winder really isn't designed to actually wind the watch from a dead stop, although I suppose it could, given enough time..

With a watch in storage, you might like to wind it fully every few months. Since you wind it, then there is no reason for the winder..

I second Larry. I have a winder, but for the watches I rarely wear, I let them wind down, and wind them occasionally.

I store my watches on a winder, but only turn it on about once a week.

Personaly, I wouldnt let any watch go totaly unused for more than 30 days.
