It's more important that a safe is heavy rather than bolted down. If someone knows it's bolted down they can pry it off the anchors with the right tools and pick it up, then cut it open somewhere else. Ideally a tl/tr 30 or 45 and up, or European classes 3-5, over 5-600 pounds.

I will avoid an existential cultural difference debate, but being a UK based firearms instructor our mandate for their use is strictly military and police with the absolute priority being preservation of life.
With regards to deadly force for home security I would remove the element of doubt and keep all my valuables in a bank vault if it was a choice between murdering a person and protecting replaceable inanimate objects. Just my opinion. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Wear them, period. They get missing when the watch is not being worn 99% of the time. Most of the oh I lost my watch posts come from situations where the watch comes off the wrist and is placed somewhere, in a glove box, gym locker, in the house (with people around) and in my brothers case in a box (while workman in the house), etc. safest place in most instances is on the wrists. People mistakenly think that all my Rolex can’t handle this situation I’ll put it in c spot and grab the g shock. Wrong, your Rolex can handle it and will Outlive you, wear it. |

People mention guns but how are they useful if you're not home?

A lot of you keep mentioning a prohibited subject here. Doesn’t matter if you agree with it or not it’s a forum rule. I expect a moderator will weigh in soon.

I'm home a lot. When I'm not home, the dog/s usually are. If the dogs and I aren't home, the watches are in a well-hidden safe. I also don't have many neighbors, but many of them are well-defended, so there's better hunting grounds for thieves.

Agree with this. Wear them, and also make sure you don’t get drunk at a club and take a girl back to the apartment while wearing them |

Unfortunately there have been numerous rules violations (firearms posts)in this thread, I’m tired of removing said posts. This thread is closed and let this be a warning that any more rules violations will be met with banishment.
