116622 Blue vs Rhodium vs Platinum Dial which one should I go for?

I am hoping to add on to my collection in 2017. A lot came into my mind. Yacht Master seems great to add on to my collection. But, which dial do you guys think is better? The sunburst blue or the rhodium or the previous platinum dial.

At first, I was more keen into platinum dial. I am not able to own a platinum watch at the moment, so a platinum dial is not a bad option too. But, saw few threads recently posting all about the blue dial. It makes me start wondering again. The blue shows different color or shades in different angles. Which makes it so unique.

About Rhodium, it is a brand new dial. It is so fresh.

So, which one would you guys suggest me to go for? Pros / Cons about these dials.

Thanks.

the contrast of the baby blue seconds hand and "yacht master" writing would make me go rhodium, it is so good looking

Imho...
1. Rhodium
2. Blue
3. Platinum

...or wait until Basel to see if any interesting new variations e.g. black bezel insert.

I would suggest seeing them in person. In my opinion, they (all three) are tough to photograph.

I originally went to look at the platinum myself and I was drawn to the blue. It's beautiful in person. I actually prefer the 37mm size of the 268622 (dark rhodium) but seeing them next to each other sealed the deal for me. I have a "picture-dump" thread of my blue dial.

Good luck with whichever you choose and post pictures!

Seems like few of you are more into the Rhodium. I have not seen the rhodium myself except from the pics. Really should go to AD and try on. Too bad the ADs around me do not have the actual watch for me to try on at the moment.

Well, it is the pics in your thread that makes me started my thread to ask for opinions. The pics that you shown were gorgeous. I tried on the blue and platinum before, the blue dial seems more "colorful". About the platinum...... I like it because it is PLATINUM

Thanks for confusing me again.

Anytime! (Thank you for the kind words!)

Ha, I think it's so subjective. I keep trying to talk myself into the dark rhodium myself (again, because of the size) but ugh. The blue.

As far as platinum, at least you get the platinum bezel either way.

You are right in many ways. The bezel already came with the platinum. At the moment, the blue dial seems is the most ideal for me before I try out the rhodium. Hopefully, I could make my decision when I try it on.

Thanks.

I would say go for the blue. I LOVED the Rhodium dial in pictures but when I saw it in person I was severely let down. In person it is very bland and there is not enough contrast (IMO.)

Your best bet is to go try them all on in person and pick which one sings to you. Good luck

I love rhodium. Pictures and in person. That's my vote.
